Summer Camp

1Get ready for a fun-filled summer at Sweet Acres! Our day camp welcomes children ages 7 to 16, offering an immersive horseback riding experience for both beginners and experienced riders. Campers are placed in groups based on experience, ensuring they receive the right level of instruction. If your rider cannot attend an advanced camp week, we’re happy to accommodate them in other sessions.

Camp runs Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 1 PM.  Campers should bring a their own lunch Monday through Friday we have a refrigerator, microwave and freezer if needed. 

For comfort while riding and safety around the horses, long pants and riding-appropriate footwear with a 1/4-inch heel are required while mounted, though campers can bring sneakers and shorts to change into for other activities. Do NOT bring open toed shoes. Flip-flops, slides and sandals are not allowed.  All riders must wear an ASTM-certified riding helmet (no bike helmets).

Summer Camp at Sweet Acres

    • Welcomes children ages 7 to 16, from first-time riders to more experiencd equestrians.
    • Camp runs Monday through Friday,  8am-1pm
    • Campers are placed in groups based on experience, with separate sessions for beginners and intermediate/advanced riders.
    • Campers bring a packed lunch Monday through Friday.
    • Long pants and riding-appropriate footwear with a 1/4-inch heel are required for riding. Limited rentals for the week, available. First come first serve basis.
    • Campers can bring shorts and other closed-toed shoes to change into for non-riding activities.
    • No open toed shoes, like flip-flops, slides or sandals. Camper must have paddock boots to ride, and sneakers can be worn while not riding for safety reasons. Weekly rentals available!
    • ASTM-certified riding helmets are required (no bike helmets).
